Welcome to the Victory Heights Website
Greetings from the Victory Heights Association (VHA). It is occasionally starting to feel like spring on the Peninsula. We had quite a bit less snow than normal and endured several very cold spells this winter. This led to frost going deeper than usual, causing several residents to have problems with frozen septic systems and water lines. The weather was good for fisherman, however, due to thick ice and limited snow they were able to drive cars and pickups all over the lake to their favorite fishing spots.
Work continued on the Victory Heights Association Website over the winter and we are ready to go live with the initial version. Suzy Turbenson has done a really nice job designing the Website and we hope that residents will find useful information about Victory Heights, Area Events and the VHA.
The Website contains two areas, one where the general public can visit and one where VHA members can access a member only area that is password protected.
The general public area contains information about the History of the Victory Heights Peninsula, Our Lady of the Lake Chapel, Area Events, Fishing Regulations, Fish Stocking, Safety Tips and Ordinances. VHA membership information and links to local businesses that support the VHA Annual Picnic.
The Members Only Area contains information about VHA Leadership, a VHA Members Directory, Meeting Schedules, Meeting Minutes and the Annual Picnic.
The Victory Heights Association contact/distribution list for emails is quite large and only about half the contacts are members of the VHA. Plans are to limit VHA correspondence to VHA Members and direct nonmembers to the VHA Website for information. I will send one more email in about a month reminding everyone about the new way of providing information.
Our Lady of the Lake Chapel members please note that emails about chapel services and events will no longer be sent by the VHA. Information about the Chapel will be posted on the VHA Website and updated by Chapel members. Chapel leadership will consider other ways of communicating with members if felt necessary.
A separate email will be sent to VHA members with information on how to visit the VHA Members area. Please contact me if you are a VHA member and do not get a second email so we can make sure you are on the VHA Member contact list.
We will review the Website at the VHA Annual Meeting to see if changes, added information, etc. should be made to the Website. In the meantime, we always welcome comments.
We hope you enjoy the website.
