Courte Oreilles Sailing Club
Mid-June through Labor Day Weekend
The Courte Oreilles Sailing Club (COSC) conducts handicap club sail boat races on a number of Saturday afternoons from mid-June through Labor Day Weekend. Anyone, resident or nonresident, with or without a sailboat may join COSC and participate in its activities. To encourage new members, COSC rules allow newcomers to compete in one day’s races without obligation of joining. The racing schedule for 2025 will be established in late spring 2025.

A Tale from
Victory Heights
I got off a couple of reasonably successful casts, but then in a burst of uncontrolled enthusiasm, I somehow lost my footing and still clinging to the rod, followed a mighty cast in a great parabola out into the lake.
It wasn’t deep enough to damage anything except my pride. I waded back to shore, the laughter of adults and cousins from the porch set my determination never to cast again.
